Prince Jalawi congratulates the University on being 55 worldwide in patents





His Highness Prince Jalawi bin Abdul Aziz, Assistant Deputy Governor of Eastern Province, received on Sunday April 29, 2012 a delegation from the University headed by the Rector Dr. Khaled Al-Sultan, and Vice Rectors of the University and academic deans. At the beginning of the meeting, his highness welcomed the delegation and praised the outstanding level of the academic and research made by the University during its career in the past decades, and pointed to the success of the University as it celebrates its 50th anniversary.
His Highness also congratulated the University on being 55 worldwide in patents according to IFI CLAIMS site, which included 185 universities from 18 countries, noting that this outstanding achievement is done through men and scientists who are sincere in their giving under the support and the great interest, of the wise leadership of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz and his Crown Prince, HRH Prince Nayef bin Abdul Aziz – may Allah protect them -, in science and education in its various stages.

H.E. Dr. Khalid Al-Sultan, KFUPM Rector, on behalf of the delegation and the university and its employees, expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Highness the Deputy Governor of Eastern Province on the reception and for paying tribute to the university and its achievements, and he valued the support and attention and care received by the university, and all educational institutions in the Eastern Province, from His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of the Eastern Region and his Deputy, and emphasized that the reception of His Royal Highness Prince Jalawi bin Abdul Aziz to the delegation of the university is an incentive to offer more to serve the educational process and research and to provide more services to society.
